- I had the best appliance repair experience with Rick. I needed to replace my microwave and he went with me to home depot to select the right one. He helped me carry the microwave into his van, since it couldn't fit in my car. He showed me that he really cared about helping me. - I cannot emphasize the skill level of this technician enough! Looked him up yesterday after an unsuccessful call to another repair shop. Rick was able to squeeze me in later the same day. To my surprise, when I answered the door, he was the GE Technician that initially installed my appliances 8 years ago, so he was very familiar with the model and the line as a whole. I love to see experienced technicians become entrepreneurial and venture out on their own to be of a greater service to consumers directly. He efficiently repaired my dryer and also a glitch with my freezer at a very reasonable price. I will definitely refer to him for all of my repair and HVAC needs. - Our Monogram Refrigerator "died" on us on Saturday Morning. I called a "national" repair service that advertised they work 24/7. They initially said they could come over on Saturday afternoon between 3:00-5:00. At 2:30 they called nd said it would be Monday afternoon before they could come. I cancelled the call and called Rick at R.J. Appliance repair. He said he could get to us by about 4:00 on Saturday. He actually got here more like 3:30--less than an hour after I called him. He had our GE refrigerator working again in no time flat. He was really nice, friendly, courteous and professional. He also had replacement water filters with him that were actually cheaper than what you can get online. We would without hesitation recommend Rick of R.J Appliance repair to anyone. Also, Rick is a Navy veteran which we appreciate and like supporting our veterans. It is his own business so when you call him, you are getting a very nice, knowledgable, local small businessman and a veteran. - Requested service repair to our dryer online and received a very prompt response. Rick arrived as promised. Upon meeting him he had a bubbly personality. It was evident he's a people person and meets no strangers, which quickly set us at ease in allowing him in our home to provide a service. A wealth of knowledge and patiently waited while I cleaned behind the dryer. He quickly assessed the problem and performed the repair. - Rick was amazing! Very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. Called him for a rather difficult job ... repairing both my built-in oven and my built-in microwave. He diagnosed both problems quickly and not only had the parts in stock, but drove back to his shop to get them so he could complete the job that morning. In the case of the oven, the control panel had been discontinued since our built-ins were from 1998, but he found a comparable replacement which worked perfectly. He had to do a couple of modifications to make it fit the oven, but that was only a minor challenge for him! It is often difficult to find competent, reliable, and honest repairman, but Rick is all of that and more. He is also a Veteran.- Larry Newton. 4/3/2017
- My dryer broke and I was in a bit of a bind with a washer full of wet clothes. I called three other businesses in the Charlotte area but they were not able to give me an appointment until three days later. Rick showed up to my house within 5 minutes! - When I was confronted with a malfunctioning refrigerator all I seemed to see was dollar signs. However, thanks to a recommendation from the Nextdoor website I found Rick:-) He was able to come out the day I called him, and he was always willing to work around my schedule. I felt at ease with Rick as soon as I met him, and I knew I was in good hands. It's all about trusting someone to help you out and do what is best for your individual situation. He was up front with me from the beginning, and he explained things to me in a manner I could understand and in a way I felt comfortable making decisions. He's followed up with me on several occasions to make sure everything is still running properly. Not only is Rick an expertise with appliance repair, he's also extremely easy to work with as a client and extremely reasonable from a cost standpoint. I'm thankful I found Rick. While I hope I do not have any issues with any other appliances or my heating and AC unit any time soon, I do know who to contact if the need arises. Dealing with broken appliances and paying for repairs is never fun, but he definitely made the experience manageable.
